Retirement Planning

One can never start too soon to plan ahead for retirement. Time passes quickly and before you realize it, your retirement day may only be 3 to 5 years away.  There’s still time to make some important decisions, but now it really becomes important to reach out and get that pre-retirement advice.  We can help you create a comprehensive retirement plan. It should be one that offers you a high monthly income but also the potential for that income to increase over the years.  Most importantly, most of my clients need an income plan built to last their lifetime and usually for the lifetime of their spouse or significant other.  Cornerstone Financial Planning will help you to build a retirement plan that is not completely dependent upon the markets, as we know the markets have always been full of surprises and will continue to be up and down, from day to day, and year to year during your years of retirement.

Investment Management

Most of our clients have been working for years and have accumulated assets in their 401(k), 403(b) or 457.  The biggest problem is that employees aren’t sure how their investments work in these types of plans.  At Cornerstone Financial Planning, we offer customized investment management services, tailored to fit your goals, needs, and risk tolerance.  Our experience allows us to offer recommendations as well as provide you with education on the various investment options available.

Estate Planning

“Is having a will in place enough?”

This is one of the most common questions we hear from our newer clients. At Cornerstone Financial Planning, we understand that everyone’s situation is different. We assist our clients by educating them on the topics they need to be familiar with such as wills, trusts, probate, and beneficiaries.  From there we will help to arrange a meeting with a qualified estate planning attorney who will make recommendations based on your particular needs and goals.

Long-Term Care Planning

Many of our clients are concerned about the possibility of moving into an assisted living facility or even worse, requiring some form of long-term nursing care, aka a nursing home.  Among other things, their biggest concern is “how am I going to pay for this?”

At Cornerstone Financial Planning, we’ve been helping our clients explore their options. We begin by educating our clients on the options available and then offer our recommendations. At the end of our discussions, we help our clients choose what option is most suitable or appropriate for their situation.
